Exercise, counseling, art, and cooking programs also use the same name.

This entry covers hands-on body care for young clients. It doesn’t mean treatment for growth, hormones, posture, or development. Meccrom’s minimum age and guardian attendance policy haven’t been confirmed, so this entry doesn’t invite bookings.

What the name Kids Therapy may cover

Search results don’t point to one service. Kids Therapy can refer to emotional support, play, exercise, cooking, or skin care. The target age and actual activity matter more than the label.

An esthetic service should explain which body areas are touched, how much clothing is changed, how privacy is protected, where the guardian stays, and what happens when the young client wants to stop.

Kids Therapy begins by reviewing contact, comfort, and session details with the young client and guardian.

Guardian permission and the child’s assent

A guardian’s permission doesn’t mean the child has agreed to every kind of touch. The provider first explains the purpose, body areas, clothing, draping, session length, and products to the guardian. The same information is then explained to the child in words they can understand.

The session stops if the child says no, moves away, becomes tense, or looks distressed. Silence isn’t automatic consent. The provider checks again when moving to a new body area or changing pressure, and the child can end the session with the guardian at any time.

Permission and assent are sound practice principles. This entry doesn’t present them as a statement of Korean law. Written consent and guardian attendance still depend on the business’s confirmed operating rules.

Pressure, time, and privacy

An adult routine shouldn’t simply be shortened for a child. Pressure and time depend on age, body size, skin, comfort with touch, and how long the child can stay in one position. Light pressure and a short session aren’t one fixed standard for every young client either.

The practitioner begins with broad, comfortable contact and avoids strong pressure on an injury or a bony area. Only the area being worked on is uncovered. Care over clothing should also be an option when appropriate.

Communication that differs from adult care

A child may not have the words to describe an unfamiliar sensation. Instead of asking only whether it hurts, the provider can ask whether the touch feels sharp, itchy, too heavy, or uncomfortable. Facial expression and body movement matter as much as a verbal answer.

When a guardian wants a body change that the child doesn’t want, the child shouldn’t be forced into touch. The provider also shouldn’t criticize the child’s shape or say that pain is necessary to become more attractive.

Not a treatment for growth or posture

Evidence doesn’t show that massage makes a healthy child taller, balances hormones, or prevents early puberty. Esthetic body care also doesn’t correct the spine or legs or treat a developmental condition.

Questions about growth, puberty, persistent pain, movement, or posture belong with a pediatric or other appropriate medical professional. Kids Therapy stays within comfortable touch that the young client accepts.

When to postpone care

Postpone care for fever, a suspected infection, a recent injury, a painful swollen area, unexplained bruising, or a new skin change. Don’t continue when the child says they feel unwell.

Safety research on massage for children is more limited than research in adults. A service isn’t automatically safe simply because the pressure appears gentle.

Related terms

Manual Massage: A broad term for pressing, gliding, and kneading the body by hand.

Body Balance: Meccrom’s term for choosing care areas and sequence across connected parts of the body.

Senior Therapy: Care adjusted to the person’s current condition and comfortable position rather than age alone.

Body care that adjusts pressure, time, and touch after checking with both the guardian and young client.

What Is Kids Therapy?
