This client told us that a dental problem had shifted her teeth to one side, followed by a long period of corrective orthodontic care. This is her facial contour care record at Meccrom Seongsu.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said she had spent a long time dealing with discomfort around her jaw and difficulty closing her mouth. Searching for care and going through corrective orthodontics brought significant stress. She also described periods of low energy, spending long stretches lying down, and binge eating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After finishing orthodontic care, she had already tried several approaches, including facial massage, cranial therapy, Korean medicine, and manual therapy. She said she was skeptical during her first consultation at Meccrom Seongsu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This background was new to the director as well. Rather than promising a result, the director reviewed related papers and materials, then set a plan within the limits of esthetic care. Since the client did not write a separate review, the director documented the consultation and care record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We looked beyond the jawline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The consultation did not focus on the jawline alone. The director also noted her forward head position, rounded shoulders, and how the jaw, neck, and shoulders appeared from each side. The consultation chart recorded that the neck and shoulder appeared farther forward on the right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time of this case, Meccrom Seongsu described three possible areas of focus: the pelvis, the neck, or the shoulders and shoulder blades. The direction was chosen after reviewing the client’s face and body, with relevant body areas considered before moving to the face and jaw. It was not one fixed sequence for every client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facial contour care<\/a> is an esthetic program that may include the face, neck, and nearby areas. It is not a medical procedure that changes facial bones or the jaw joint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Signs around the jaw that need attention first<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The original post also discussed what to check when the jaw hurts or makes sounds during movement. Temporomandibular disorders are a broad group of conditions involving pain or problems in the jaw joint and the muscles that control jaw movement. The location of pain alone cannot tell someone whether the issue comes from the joint or nearby muscles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
