Recovery Care

Recovery care is a medical-adjacent industry label used for post-procedure care or moisturizing care for dry, sensitive-feeling skin. The Korean name contains a word that can also mean regeneration, but the service name does not prove that cells or tissue regenerate.

Use in clinics and esthetics

A program may include gentle cleansing, moisturizer, or a mask. In a medical clinic, post-procedure instructions may also be part of care. The setting and exact contents matter because there is no standard program.

Soothing and biological repair

Soothing care focuses on gentle cleansing and moisturization. Biological repair describes the body’s process of healing damaged tissue. A commercial recovery-care label is not evidence of that medical outcome.

Post-procedure boundaries

Instructions from the treating medical professional take priority after a procedure. Esthetic recovery care does not treat wounds or remove scars. Blistering, discharge, or severe pain needs medical assessment.
